Thru The Window: The Nokia Lumia 920

When you first grasp your hands on it you can’t help but notice the size and weight of it. Is it too heavy no I don’t think it is; surely lighter and smaller than the galaxy S3 and the Samsung notes.
Though it will take time to get used to if your used to smaller devices.
If your already a student of windows then the feel and look will be familiar.
Added bits being the ability to resize the live tiles which makes it good for more personalisation. I like the live tiles.
Also along with the improved Nokia Maps and Nokia Drive. Their is one called Nokia transport which gives information on local transport around you and gives you bus/train times and you can also use it as a journey planner. A nice addition to the Nokia apps.
The camera being better with HD videos ok nothing new their. And with. New lens you can do a bit more when it comes to taking pictures.
I will into all that on a later date.
Marketplace is now just called store. Unfortunately the apps haven’t changed still a lot you can’t get. But I myself don’t find that a problem.
With a front facing camera as well (which the Nokia Lumia 800 lacked)
The phone still feels good to handle; again the size will take time to get used to.
Can’t tell you about the wireless charging. As it appears you get a wireless charger free till December but only if you get it in store and not online. Something which orange (or EE) fail to tell you.
I have somewhat a bad view on orange. Just terrible on their part.
The screen is bright and vibrant.
So the Lumia 920 is a pretty big when it comes to smartphones which it measures at 130.3 x 70.8 x 10.7 mm. The unibodied polycarbonate chassis which offers a premium finish and feel to the phone. The weight is noticeable;
But I have had no problem so far with the extra weight. With the 920 being 185g while the iPhone 5 is just 112g. So if your coming from an iPhone 5 it will be very noticeable.
The 920 has a 4.5 inch IPS TFT screen which offers a very crisp bright display to it; which gives us a HD Resolution 768×1280.
The 920 also boasts support for multi-core processors which allows the 920 to have a packing 1.5GHz (I can’t stop imaging doc brown from back to the future) dual core chip which is backed by a 1GB of RAM plenty of power available on this big baby. Also has 32GB memory so Nokia has also expanded the memory to. The front facing camera is 1.6MP.
So in all this is a very nice phone; if you can get past the size ad weight and too some the lack of apps (which I think windows and Nokia will no doubt rectify as time goes on)
So this is the Nokia Lumia 920 and what a phone it is.
I believe could be a contender in the market. With Apple failing to make changes in their IOS6 well they did but nothing revolutional.
Will just have to wait and see how this new model fares in the real world.
I myself think I’m in love; so had enough with those size 0 models out their? Maybe it’s time for some meat on the bone: The Nokia Lumia 920.

Thanks for reading.
